Thanks To Sophistication

Hey Guys,

Brooke and I had a photo shoot during our little Thanksgiving break. We shot at Brooke's beautiful home on a pretty day! Brooke is a new model and had her first shoot on the blog, definitely not her last. The lighting was prime for once, a rare sighting in Chicago! I was very appreciative for the lighting because I've missed it for a while. I tried to create a more sophisticated look for us, using a classic high necklines and appropriate hems.

The Gray Scale

Hello,

Winter has hit Chicago! In the last few days it has been freezing. I thought that my gray outfit expressed how the weather has been and how many of us have been feeling. I thought that the old church background would be a cool backdrop for my outfit. I realized that I hadn't posted my white nurse-ish shoes yet! I have been living in them through the summer and fall, they are so comfortable and easy to wear. I hope everyone stays warm and has a nice Thanksgiving!

A Walk In The Park

Hey guys,

Danielle and I had a nice walk in the park on Sunday afternoon. As you all know I love black, I wanted to show a cute way to add a pop of color with an all black outfit! The dress that I am wearing is from a small boutique in Soho, I got on my New York trip. I think it is a very interesting dress with many layers and cool shapes! I used the background of this Buddhist temple because of its lovely architecture   and structure of the building. I think that my dress and Danielle's shirts pleats looked perfect with the temple and stairs. I hope you like all of the pretty fall colors as much as I do, so enjoy it while it lasts!

Teen Vogue Fashion University 2013

Hello!

Last weekend I went to New York City to attend Teen Vogue Fashion University! It was amazing and exceeded my expectations. During the day on Saturday and Sunday we had seminars. The ones that I attended were, Amy Astley and the Teen Vogue Editors, Joseph Altuzarra, Thakoon Panichgul, Coco Rocha, Emily Weiss and  Nick Axelrod (intothegloss.com), Stephanie Mark and Jake Roseberg (thecoveteur.com) and Eve Macsweeney + Phyllis Posnick. The seminars were so cool and interesting! Listening to the range of professionals in the fashion business speak was inspiring. I could not have asked for such an informative program and team, helping teens like me learn more about the fashion industry that I strive to be in. I also had one of my life dreams come true, visiting the Teen Vogue Offices! Being guided around the offices by such real, fashionable, and smart women, Kirby Marzec the Teen Vogue Accessories Assistant and Media Brecher the Teen Vogue Fashion News Assistant made my experience even more incredible! The Teen Vogue offices were so fascinating and made me aspire to work at Teen Vogue even more. I hope to see all of the Teen Vogue team in the near future! I am so thankful for this amazing opportunity!

Oh Soho Good

Hey Guys!

I just got back from a quick but wonderful trip to New York City this weekend! I love it there so much! I went to attend the Teen Vogue Fashion University which I will talk about more on my next post! One of my favorite parts of New York is in Soho. It is such a cool and interesting place to eat, shop, or just walk around in. I had so much fun and can't wait to tell you more about my fabulous trip.

Gatsby Gold

Hey guys!

I went to a Great Gatsby party and wanted to show you all my outfit along with Ariels. This is a very themed post which does not happen often. I think that the mood of the pictures is perfect with the eerie soft colors! I hope you do too because I really like the way the pictures turned out, I know they are not as clear as usual but hey its part of the look I am trying to portray! If you have not seen The Great Gatsby you should, it is a beautiful film. I hope that you enjoy my interpretation of the modernized roaring twenties!
