Bonjour!
This is my extremely delayed post on my adventure at Paris Fashion Week this season. On the first day I attended the Tranoï Trade Show which displayed many up and coming designers from all over the world. When walking into Palais de la Bourse there was a sense of electricity running though the event. Guests crowded the edges of the runway, trying to sneak in or see the show. I managed to stand with the photographers in the "press pit" which ended up being a prime spot. I was able to catch most of the Veronique Leroy SS18 show which was absolutely lovely. Numerous looks with light pastels and sheer fabric. After the show was over I decided to wander through the trade show which was room after room filled with amazing new collections.
Next I helped with setting up the Hunting Season presentation which was very fun. The bags they have this season are absolutely amazing! I am obsessed with their candy colored collaboration with Carolina Herrera. If you are looking for a super chic bag for spring look no further.
One day while strolling around le Marais I walked into this very unique concept store, Springsioux. I was hypnotized when I saw that almost each piece was asymmetrical and black. I ended up falling in love with a skirt and just couldn't part with it. A few days later I went to their SS18 presentation at their store. As my friend Erin and I entered the "chic goth" scene we were greeted with glasses of black champagne. The models wore animal horns and heavy makeup while interpretive dancing. Outside there was another spectacle with clouds of cigarette smoke and guest dressed in the most avant guard pieces.
To end fashion week with a bang I helped out at the Esteban Cortazar show. I arrived, dressed in head-to-toe black, at les Beaux-Arts ready to be thrown any task. I was stationed at the front door checking guests into the show. Working with the Esteban Cortazar's team was such a great experience. After the guests were all checked in I found my seat and waited for the magic to commence. Music thumped and models began to walk down the zigzagged runway. The Colombian spirit was present through out the atmosphere. The cohesive collection included many pieces with rich textures, bold silhouettes, and stunning colors. Experiencing the collection was absolutely exhilarating. Without a doubt, the Esteban Cortazar show was the highlight of my PFW.
Cheers!
