NYFW FW17

Hello Hello!
This season backstage at NYFW FW17... The first show I helped at was Libertine. The energy that Johnson Hartig brings to the show is intoxicating. With his consistent bold prints and textures, the Libertine collections are never drab. The focus was on "LOVE" this season. On the runway, models wore rainbow sequins and leopard print coats. The combination of the two textures magically became cohesive. When looking at the collection the viewer is taken on a trip into a wild world of bright colors and sparkles like a kaleidoscope. I think FW17 is Libertine's strongest collection to date. To celebrate the success, Libertine hosted an afterparty at Hotel Americano rooftop and the view over looking Chelsea was simply gorgeous!

The next day was Baja East! As I entered Milk Studios and headed to the makeup room, the set up was much different than in years past. As I walked in looking for a place to put my coat, a woman asked me if I was a model. I chuckled wondering if she was messing with me but then two more people asked the same question. Very confused, I walked towards the back to look at the collection. As I scanned the stunning racks, I noticed that the models were either supermodels or A-listers. I quickly picked up that this was not going to be like any other NYFW show. As the models started showing up the room felt like friends having a makeover pregame. The models were dancing and snapping selfies while preparing for the Baja Dinner. The dinner at Kola House was described by the designers as "Studio 54 meets the Daily Mail". The lookbook is composed of "paparazzi-like" images contrasting editorial ones. I had the honor of dressing Coco Rocha, Anne V, Winnie Harlow, Duckie Thot, Hannah Bronfman, Ophelie Guillermand, to name a few it-girls I met. Then came the after party at Gilded Lily. Everyone danced in the middle of the dance floor where a massive chandelier/ light fixture flickered to the beat of the music. It was the perfect way to end my NYFW17 Fashion week. Here are my favorite shots that I share with you.

Cheers!
