Italy S'15

Hello!
I do apologizes for the lateness of this post! Right after my amazing trip to Paris, my family and I went to Italy. Since I graduated we wanted to have one last celebration and fun bonding trip. We went to Rome, Tuscany, Florence, Venice, and Milan. Let me just say Italy was amazing! I loved it so much, I could go on forever about my phenomenal summer but I will spare you and give the highlights instead. In Rome we spend our days divided between, touring and shopping/ escaping the heat. It was SO hot when we were there, I think the coldest day was 96º. The three places you have to go in Rome are: the Forum, the Vatican Museum, and the Borghese Gallery. The Azzedine Alaïa exhibit that I saw there was spectacular! The fashion was showcased with the art in the museum which made the experience much more glamorous. While shopping near the Spanish Steps I stumbled upon an Italian handbag store called Badura, they had such unique bags! Check them out! Next was Tuscany, it was all green and sunshine. We had a relaxing day at the pool with my best friend overlooking the mountains and vineyards. Then came my personal favorite, Venice. Venice is like no other place in the world. Being in Venice felt so surreal because you are in such a remarkable city with beautiful colored buildings and stunning wooden boats everywhere. When we arrived we took one of the water taxis which made our arrival so much more glamorous. Last but not least was Milan. Although we didn't spend much time in Milan I loved it! The vibe of the city was a mix of Barcelona and Paris. I was very impressed with the shopping in Milan, we found many cool places when we were walking around. My mom and I went to La Rinascente which is a restaurant on the rooftop of a department store overlooking the Duomo. Our night couldn't have been better. They played such great music and the people who were eating looked like they were artists or in the fashion industry. Overall, Italy was incredible!

Enjoy,
