CSM London Collection 2012

Posted on Tuesday, August 7, 2012

Hello.
Now that my Central Saint Martins fashion design course has ended, I have to show you my collection! The three weeks went by pretty fast, I enjoyed the course and really liked my teacher. The first week we focused on researching and finding inspiration for our collection or "brand". The second week was based on illustration, textile/ dying techniques and starting our first "deconstruction of a garment" piece. The third week was finishing our presentation books and finishing off what ever you want, (which in my case was creating another garment.) My research and inspiration was on Japanese armor, weapons, prints, structure, death traditions, golden inlay, dead flowers, and art. My first piece was constructed with a pair of black mens pants, a halter dress, a purple corset, and two green sleeves, it was not really Japanese inspired but came to me. My second look was Japanese inspired by structure and detail, it is hard to see but 90% of the garments were hand sewn. I did not use a pattern it was my own design. I am wearing the zipper and folds on the side but it also can be worn on the back. I hope you like my work!! There will be more pictures to come! Enjoy!

The Beginning of London & St. Martins

Posted on Saturday, July 28, 2012

Hey guys! I'm in London and have been learning so much! Sorry I haven't been posting much but I really do not have that much time in between classes! The starting pictures are pictures that I took during a trash project that was a collaboration in a group of 7. (But what I can say was completely my idea was the cup umbrella!) This post is a little random and scrambled more photography then fashion but don't worry there will be loads of fashion coming your way! I went to Spitafields with my two adorable cousins, which was so fun. I have had such a good time these three weeks at Central St. Martins they are flying past me! Sketching, dying fabrics, research, presentation skills, and deconstructing garments. I can't wait to show you guys my collection! I am wearing: a Rugby blouse, an Allsaints skirt, Office shoes and a vintage Chanel handbag. I will hopefully have many more posts soon! Enjoy! Always click to enlarge!

Old Hollywood Glamour

Hey I am in London!! I just arrived last night! Today I went shopping and got some cute things that I will have to photograph soon! I start my Central St. Martins summer fashion course tomorrow, wish me luck! This is an older shoot with the Twins, a devil and an angel. They are on the famous roof, at night where I did have to use flash... I don't normally like using flash for some reason. Anyways they are both wearing a mix of high end clothing and not so high end. The angle in white (Danielle) is wearing: A Forever21 top, American Apparel skirt, YSL heels, and a Chanel handbag. The devil in black (Jacqueline) is wearing: A Barney's lace top, an Aqua skirt, Christian Louboutin heels and an unknown clutch. Enjoy summer and this shoot!! Always click to enlarge!

My new design and a bloody knee

Posted on Monday, July 9, 2012

Hey guys! I am excited to show you my new pink skirt that I made! This photo shoot was not planned, which I think is pretty cool! This is why unlike all my other shoots we styled our own outfits, usually I style everything! We were originally going to an event but then decided to do a photo shoot instead! I have been very busy getting ready for my big trip to Central St. Martins in London! I leave this Friday! Well I hope you guys enjoy this last minute shoot! I am wearing: my Rugby blouse, my skirt that I designed, J.Crew head band, and my Jeffrey Campbell Nightwalks. Sarah is wearing: her Ark and Co. blouse, Forever 21 Necklace, her unknown skirt, and my  Kimchi Blue heels. How did this bloody knee happen? Sarah took a spill in an alley and went down, luckily she wasn't in pain! We had quite an eventful night! Always click to enlarge! Enjoy!
