The Absent Sun

Hey guys!

I have been meaning to show you these shoes and my bag that I am wearing here. My python heels are loud so I decided to pair them with a simple outfit. I thought that even though my bag is another animal that it still went well with my look. Oh, and if you can see what is in my hair it is a vintage broach I found at a vintage market. This look was a more "on the go" outfit. Let me know what you think of them! I was driving and past this shiny brick wall and thought it went perfect with my outfit. It is March finally so the warmer weather is soon to come (hopefully!). It snowed in Chicago yesterday though so cross your fingers for no more polar vortex's. Everyone keep warm!

Manolo Blahnik Barney's Party

Hello!

Last week I went to the Manolo Blahnik capsule collection opening at Barney's! 

There were shoes everywhere! Even on the walls, they set up a really cool display of his shoes on the wall in Barney's. Mr. Blahnik was there wearing a beautiful green suit. I unfortunately missed the opportunity to meet him. He looked like such a nice man, hopefully I will have another chance to meet him. Out of the shoes I saw my favorites both were from the capsule collection. I loved the classic black pumps with the little ankle strap as well as the black heels with the lace-up front. I thought that they were original and very wearable. The party was lovely with yummy macrons and beautiful shoes, two of my favorite things! I hope you like the shoes, here are some of my faves below!

Palm Beach Resort Wear

Hello lovelies! 

Over the weekend Brooke and I went to Palm Beach! If you haven't been you should added it to your bucket list, it is beautiful. We had such a great time laying out and enjoying this amazing view. We enjoyed the 82 degree weather and bright sunshine! It beat the freezing temps in Chicago, that's for sure! This weekend getaway was just what I needed and I couldn't be more thankful and happy that I went. I wanted to express my feelings in our outfits, showing the resort wear and vacation vibes! I also wanted to show the stunning house and pool area that we hung out and stayed at. Enjoy this beautiful view and some resort wear and pictures of us!

Polar Vortex 2.0

Hello,

I am sorry for my absence on here but it's been very busy since the year has started! In Chicago in the month of January we have had two "polar vortex's" which has lead to crazy cold temperatures and snow days for school. Before the crazy cold hit, yesterday I had a little shoot outside. The temperature change from my last post in sunny Santa Barbara to snowy Chicago is drastic. I look forward to this new year and hope everyone is well. I can't wait to show you more of the new things I have bought, got, or found over this month! In this post I am featuring my new skirt and necklace. I hope you all keep warm and appreciate the extra days off!

Hey! 

So, I was in warm and sunny, California for part of my winter break. For most of the break we stayed in Santa Barbara. I was a nice and relaxing trip that consisted of either laying or walking on the beach all day. My main wardrobe of the trip was many coverup's and be achy clothes, hence my cover up here. My mom went to India in November and brought back a few cover ups for Danielle and I. Danielle is wearing a flowy dress that I thought would look perfect on the beach, wet or dry. I love the pictures that I got of Danielle! Let me know what you think. I hope that everyone had a nice break! If you live in Chicago stay indoors today because it's -15! I just got home and already miss the California sun and ocean air.

Best of 2013

Hello everyone!

I hope that everyone had a lovely and wild 2013. It was a big year that's for sure. I think my first picture describes my year perfectly. I decided to make my "Chloé Akari 2013 un-published" in color along with some classic black and white photos. I hope you enjoy the select few that I wanted to share with you to help sum up my year. I want to really give a huge thank you to my friends, family, and readers, my supporters. I would not be able to continue my work and run this blog with out you guys. I could not be more thankful and happy to have such a great support system and team. As I look into 2014, some of my resolutions for myself are: to continue to stay focused on school and studies, post more frequently, create art more often, and keep motivated. I wish everyone a very happy, successful, and fashionable 2014!
