Chloé Akari X Warby Parker

Posted on Saturday, September 3, 2016

Hello!
This past week I had the pleasure of wearing several Warby Parker glasses. I was able to choose 5 pairs of glasses online. The Warby Parker website was very user friendly and aesthetically pleasing. I highly recommend checking their website or stopping by at one of their stores. The pictures below display how glasses can be worn to any occasion. I had so much fun wearing them around! My personal favorite were the "Haskell" frames (the first picture below). A good pair of clear framed glasses is as rare as an excellent iced chai (trust me on this). I have to say in the past, wearing glasses has made me feel a bit nerdy but all of these frames did quite the opposite. Glasses show character and are an essential accessory to have in your wardrobe. Warby Parker and Kill Screen just did a collaboration and created a beautiful pair of "Glacier Grey" glasses. The nice thing about Warby Parker glasses is that they help frame your personal style ;-)

Cheers!

Head South Down The River

Hello!
Living in New York has motivated me to constantly explore and find new places. It has honestly become my absolute favorite thing to do! When I came home to Chicago I couldn't wait to go on some adventures. I had heard from many friends that the architecture boat tour was "amazing" so I decided to take the tour with Hannah to show her more of Chicago. We ended up sitting in the very front of the boat and had a killer view! As we coasted down the river, the guide pointed to this beautiful park in Chinatown that I had never heard of. I was shocked to say the least. I have lived in Chicago my whole life and never knew about this hidden gem. Almost simultaneously Hannah and I both said "OMG we are so going there tomorrow!" So the next day we hopped on the red line and strolled through Chinatown to find the "secret park". When arriving to Ping Tom Memorial Park I instantly felt transported to a different place (perhaps China? I've never been). The park is stunning! If you are ever in Chinatown definitely make a stop at Ping Tom Park! Enjoy the rest of summer!

Cheers!

My CR Story

Posted on Monday, August 22, 2016

Hello!
Coming home to Chicago for August has been exactly what the doctor ordered. My days have consisted of pilates, picnicking, laying out, and hanging with my fam and friends. My friend Hannah came to visit me for Lollapalooza. Aside from showing her around town, we had an amazing time doing stylist pull from Cynthia Rowley! Cynthia Rowley has always been one of my favorite Chicago designers! Going through the racks at the Cynthia Rowley store was exhilarating. Hannah and I decided to match in these dazzling black embellished pieces. I am obsessed with the kimono inspired dress that I wore! It is one of those dresses that instantly makes you feel glamorous and badass all at the same time. The dress is perfect for a night on the town or even a gallery opening. The top and skirt that Hannah wore have such beautiful details all over the garments. Both pieces have such an extraordinary shape to them. I decided to head over to North Avenue Beach to compliment the stunning pieces and capture the Cynthia Rowley aesthetic. There was something dreamy about the way the sunlight hit the sequins. Check out cynthiarowley.com for more lovely pieces. Thank you to Cynthia Rowley and her team for letting us borrow these exceptional pieces!

Cheers!

Along The East River

Hello!
As my summer in Brooklyn is coming to an end I have been trying to squeeze in some last minute adventures. The other day my friend Shannon and I went to Williamsburg. Even though it is only a few stops away from me on the L train, I had never been... It was so cute! Everywhere you looked there was either an artisanal coffee shop or a little boutique. We stopped for a quick bite at Cafe Colette. I recommend going while you tour around Williamsburg, it is a perfect spot for people watching. After lunch we strolled down to the waterfront and did a little rock climbing (kinda). What I would not recommend: climbing in platforms... However going out on to the rocks was totally worth a few scrapes and bruises. Our day was filled with my favorite things: coffee and sunshine. If you are ever in New York definitely plan a day in Williamsburg and skip the excursion to Times Square.

Cheers!

ISOLDA RESORT '17

Posted on Thursday, July 7, 2016

Hello!
The other week Isolda Brazil showcased their Resort 2017 collection on the rooftop of Hotel Hugo hosted by CREO Consulting. When entering the rooftop vibrant fruits and lush palm leaves transported me out of the concrete jungle and into a summery paradise. To enhance the dreamy experience, Brazilian singer Alexia Bontempo preformed throughout the evening. The seven models gracefully danced and posed in the gorgeous Isolda pieces. The collection was heavily inspired by Brazilian culture. All of the prints from the collection were created in watercolor first and then transformed into stunning fabrics. The presentation and collection was unbelievable! I am beyond thrilled to have been part of the evening. Enjoy the beautiful collection!

Cheers!

A Sleepless Summer

Hello Hello!
The other day Shannon and I grabbed brunch at Cafe Clover. We enjoyed our eggs dining al fresco (my fave). The whole vibe of the restaurant was very clean and chic. Cafe Clover will definitely be added to my "faves list" for brunch spots in NYC. After brunch we stubbled upon a blue garage door that basically screamed "photo op!" My outfit was inspired by the city in the summer. This look can go from day to night and is extremely comfortable. Working the 10-6pm days really taught me to dress for the day, not just pre-dinner. I chose to wear my sneakers because they are honestly the best shoe. Summertime in NYC has been so fun with my overloaded schedule and infinite options. I can't wait to continue the adventure! There is so much more to come, just wait ;)

Cheers,
