ISOLDA RESORT '17

Posted on Thursday, July 7, 2016

Hello!
The other week Isolda Brazil showcased their Resort 2017 collection on the rooftop of Hotel Hugo hosted by CREO Consulting. When entering the rooftop vibrant fruits and lush palm leaves transported me out of the concrete jungle and into a summery paradise. To enhance the dreamy experience, Brazilian singer Alexia Bontempo preformed throughout the evening. The seven models gracefully danced and posed in the gorgeous Isolda pieces. The collection was heavily inspired by Brazilian culture. All of the prints from the collection were created in watercolor first and then transformed into stunning fabrics. The presentation and collection was unbelievable! I am beyond thrilled to have been part of the evening. Enjoy the beautiful collection!

Cheers!

A Sleepless Summer

Posted on Tuesday, June 14, 2016

Hello Hello!
The other day Shannon and I grabbed brunch at Cafe Clover. We enjoyed our eggs dining al fresco (my fave). The whole vibe of the restaurant was very clean and chic. Cafe Clover will definitely be added to my "faves list" for brunch spots in NYC. After brunch we stubbled upon a blue garage door that basically screamed "photo op!" My outfit was inspired by the city in the summer. This look can go from day to night and is extremely comfortable. Working the 10-6pm days really taught me to dress for the day, not just pre-dinner. I chose to wear my sneakers because they are honestly the best shoe. Summertime in NYC has been so fun with my overloaded schedule and infinite options. I can't wait to continue the adventure! There is so much more to come, just wait ;)

Cheers,

An Exhilarated Start

Posted on Sunday, June 5, 2016

Hello!
As my first year at school ended and summer began, my life seemed to be on fast forward. This post will provide a little update of what you missed in May. I moved to Brooklyn for the summer (yay for adulting)! I've continued working as Jonathan Simkhai's PR intern! My experience at JS has been so amazing; I've learned so much! Additionally, I am working for CREO Consulting. Working at CREO has been wonderful. Just get ready for the future posts to come! New York is one of the most amazing cities in the world and I am so lucky to be here! My friends and I stumbled upon the Conservatory Garden in Central Park. It is such a gem (highly recommend going)! There were beautiful flowers and plants surrounding the entire garden which created an enchanting experience. My outfit was inspired by Gucci '16 no surprise. I can't even express my love for the Fall and Spring shows this year... Alessandro Michele is killing it. Also please admire my cute nano bag. Welcome to summer!

Cheers!

CATCHing Spring

Posted on Friday, April 22, 2016

Hello!
They say "adapt or be left behind". Since moving to NYC one thing that I have had to change is my footwear... Sneakers have become my best friends. I've started to accept my true height and save the blisters/ foot cramps for another day. Recently I bought a pair of Adidas sneakers (featured below) and opted not to get the oh so trendy "superstars". From running around to my internship downtown or from class to class they are perfect. New York couldn't be more pleasant than right now. Everyone is out enjoying the weather and the sunshine. Before the shoot Jamie and I went to CATCH NYC's rooftop for lunch. We both had the avocado toast and let me tell you it was the best avocado toast I've ever had! The rooftop itself was very cute and had a great view of the Meatpacking District. After lunch we walked over to the Highline as you do when in the Meatpacking District. I wanted to showcase spring in New York for this shoot. I styled both Jamie and myself with neutral colors that agreed with the Highline backdrop. We strolled down the entire park while stopping every so often to take a few shots.

NoMo in SoHo

Posted on Tuesday, April 12, 2016

Hello!
The other day I went to The NoMo Hotel for brunch with my friend Julia. The NoMo is such a cool spot in Soho; I highly recommend it. Right as you walk in you immediately feel the chic and modern vibe of the hotel. We both had the egg white frittata, which was so good! Warm weather is almost here... I have been living in my Members Only jacket for the past few weeks. It is the perfect mini windbreaker/ bomber jacket to throw on over anything. I wear it during the day and night. Even though bomber jackets have become oh so trendy I'm not taking my Members Only off. It is a staple piece in my wardrobe. Anyways, if you need a light jacket get a something similar because you will wear it all the time. Sending sunshine to all!

Serenity

Hello,
One of the best things about coming home for break is that I get to raid my mothers closet. Spring is nearly here but I wouldn't put away your jackets and tights just yet. As you may or may not know, I am obsessed with fur. This jacket is one of my favorite pieces of my mothers. It is so versatile and can be dressed up or down. For this look I mixed high and low brands along with new and old. The color theme of the shoot was inspired by the Gucci S/S'16 collection. It is one of my favorite collections. Go check it out if you haven't and bring some warm weather to me if you can.

Cheers,

Trunk Club

Posted on Friday, March 18, 2016

Hello!
I am currently back in Chicago for spring break!
My friend and Trunk Club Stylist Tess Ursini put together an amazing pull for me. Trunk Club is a great personal shopping service that you can do either in person with a stylist or have a trunk sent to your home. Upon arriving at the Trunk Club Chicago Clubhouse I was instantly impressed with the cool vibe and beautiful decor. Tess brought me to my own private styling station where there was a great view of the city. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the rack of neutral colors and rich fabrics approaching my station. Tess picked amazing pieces from a few of my favorite designers: Miu Miu, Alexander Wang, Opening Ceremony, TopShop, and Rag & Bone to name a few. I bought a couple of pieces and can't wait to show them in a future post. I highly recommend trying Trunk Club and using Tess as your stylist! I loved my experience and know you will too.

Cheers,
