Cynthia Rowley Cocktail Party

Hello!

Yesterday I attended a Cynthia Rowley cocktail party. I was able to view her absolutely amazing Spring 2015 collection! There were so many amazing pieces in the store that I loved. The cuts and details on Cynthia Rowley clothing are always so original and timeless. There was also such a nice variety of colors and prints in the collection. There were bright colors, muted colors, along with the classic black and whites. There was really an outfit for any occasion. I had an amazing time at the event looking through the whole store. I also had a wonderful conversation with Cynthia Rowley herself. She has always been such an inspiration to me, so I am more than thrilled that I met her again! Below are some photographs from the party. I brought along three of my best friends, Sarah, Allee, and my mom. I highly recommend going into the store or visiting online to shop the collection! I'm looking forward to seeing Cynthia Rowley's future collections!

The Walk 2015 SAIC

Hello! 

Last Friday, I attended The SAIC Walk fashion show. The SAIC students did such a fabulous job this year! The Walk featured sophomores, juniors, and seniors designs. The two special guests at the show were Claudia Hart and Diane Pernet. The Dolls performance created by Claudia Hart was really cool and a great way to start the show. She projected images and videos on different models as they danced wearing screens. This year the theme was gold. The sophomores were able to use white and gold for their collections this year, which I loved! I thought that the students used the color restriction beautifully. The whites and the golds really complimented each other well. The juniors and seniors had a variety of colors in their collections. Both classes did an amazing job with creating collections, they were very cohesive. As each new collection came down the runway I kept trying to take as many pictures as possible while still enjoying the collections in person. These photos that I have posted below are some of my favorite looks, along with some of the better pictures that I took. The lighting was a bit dim so I apologize for the lack of clarity in some photos. I had an amazing time attending the event. Each year I am impressed with the creativity and innovation that the students display in their collections. Overall the show was outstanding! I want to say congratulations to all of the SAIC fashion students!

THE WALK 2015 Fashion Show SAIC

What: SAIC Fashion 2015 and THE WALK

Hello lovelies!

This year on May 8th the SAIC is having their annual fashion show called THE WALK. It is Chicago's coolest fashion show of the year. I have attended the show every year since 2011. Each year I am blown away by the student designers, the show gets better every year! I look forward to attending this event all year! I have a feeling that this year is going to be epic! I highly recommend everyone coming to this fashion show to see and support the designers! There are three different times on Friday, May 8th that you can see the show: 9 a.m. dress rehearsal, tickets are $40,12 p.m. and 3 p.m. shows are general admission seating tickets are $75, and THE WALK 5:30 p.m tickets start at $500 (For tickets to SAIC Fashion 2015 and THE WALK, visit http://saicfashion.org)
