The Walk 2014 SAIC

Hello!

On May 2nd I went to the SAIC student fashion show "The Walk" for my fourth time. Every year the SAIC students show such amazing work. I look forward to coming to the fashion show every year because it is my favorite event! This year Nick Cave was honored for the "80 years of Fashion Innovation". The performances by Nick Cave and his sound suits were amazing. I loved the bright saturated colors and uniqueness that each suit had. I was blown away by each class of students, the sophomores, juniors, and seniors. I had such a hard time editing down my pictures to post because there was so much beautiful work. My pictures are not in any specific order. The lighting this year on the runway was the best it has ever been and I really appreciate that! Overall the show was inspiring and I met some amazing people, before and after the show! I hope you take the time to admire the students work! Congratulations SAIC students!

LACMA Urban Light

Hello lovelies! 

After my time in beautiful Santa Barbara, I went to LA for the remainder of my trip. I finally was able to go and see the Urban Light art installation outside of the LACMA. I have been meaning to go for a while now because I think it is such a cool piece. I had a great time in LA with my family and friends. I met some wonderful and interesting people. I found one of my new favorite places in LA, Abbot Kinney street! It is a wonderful street with boutiques and yummy little restaurants. I highly suggest going there if you haven't been! The weather was also so prime when I was in California. This weekend in Chicago it is going to be so warm (for Chicago standards!) I am pretty pumped about spring finally arriving! Time to take off the tights and fur coats!

West Coast Edge

Hey lovelies!

For spring break went to California. Right now we are in Santa Barbara; relaxing on the beach everyday. A break was needed, March was a crazy busy month with little time to focus on photo shoots.  I will give my dad creds for finding this lovely graffitied house and for taking the pictures of me. I took the ones of my sister Danielle. While styling for this shoot, I used the relaxed California vibe in our outfits. I loved the idea of black on the beach with the stark contrast and nature as the background. I am excited to do more exploring and maybe even find another awesome location.

Looking Through A Different Lens

Hello Lovelies! 

Here are some pictures that I have taken over a few months with my fisheye film camera. I think that the colors and fisheye effect is unique. I think that it is interesting to see the pictures and how they differ from each other because they use the same flash, zoom, and lens. This post is less about fashion but rather life. However, I always incorporate fashion into my life! Here are some great moments of my life with some special people. This will be my last posting as a sixteen year old because my birthday is on the 24th. I look forward to this new year. I am excited to have more adventures and amazing experiences.
