My new design and a bloody knee

Posted on Monday, July 9, 2012

Hey guys! I am excited to show you my new pink skirt that I made! This photo shoot was not planned, which I think is pretty cool! This is why unlike all my other shoots we styled our own outfits, usually I style everything! We were originally going to an event but then decided to do a photo shoot instead! I have been very busy getting ready for my big trip to Central St. Martins in London! I leave this Friday! Well I hope you guys enjoy this last minute shoot! I am wearing: my Rugby blouse, my skirt that I designed, J.Crew head band, and my Jeffrey Campbell Nightwalks. Sarah is wearing: her Ark and Co. blouse, Forever 21 Necklace, her unknown skirt, and my  Kimchi Blue heels. How did this bloody knee happen? Sarah took a spill in an alley and went down, luckily she wasn't in pain! We had quite an eventful night! Always click to enlarge! Enjoy!

SAIC Presentation

Posted on Thursday, July 5, 2012

Last week I was asked to give a presentation and speech at the Art Institute of Chicago, for the fashion camp taught by Cheryl Pope! I took Cheryl's class  in the summer of 2010 and 2011. I loved the class and learned so much about the fashion industry! My presentation went well, here are some pictures from it! After my presentation Cheryl and I had a chance to catch up over coffee! Cheryl was putting up a display of pieces from the course. It looks so cute it is called "A Walk in the Park", I made the newspaper flowers that I put all over the wall. I hope you guys have a chance to see it, it will be here for two weeks. At the SAIC building on Wabash, downtown in the loop!
Thank you so much to Cheryl Pope for letting me give a presentation! Enjoy the pictures!!

Through The Secret Garden

Posted on Wednesday, June 27, 2012

Hello! Hope you all are enjoying summer! Maddie and I both said our last good byes to each other last week, until London... We will meet again in August, but I will miss her like crazy!!! Well anyways the theme of this photo shoot had to do with elegance, barefoot-ness, and a hint of flowers in each outfit. I personally love when you can mix high end designer pieces with Forever21 for example. I am wearing in my first outfit a vintage Oscar De La Renta skirt with a Forever21 top, and I love them together. We went through the secret garden to find lush grasses, a fish pond, ancient ruins, and tall trees. We danced around, hopped from each stone being careful of someone close by. You have now entered our secret garden. Always click to enlarge. Enjoy!
