Best of 2013

Posted on Tuesday, December 31, 2013

Hello everyone!
I hope that everyone had a lovely and wild 2013. It was a big year that's for sure. I think my first picture describes my year perfectly. I decided to make my "Chloé Akari 2013 un-published" in color along with some classic black and white photos. I hope you enjoy the select few that I wanted to share with you to help sum up my year. I want to really give a huge thank you to my friends, family, and readers, my supporters. I would not be able to continue my work and run this blog with out you guys. I could not be more thankful and happy to have such a great support system and team. As I look into 2014, some of my resolutions for myself are: to continue to stay focused on school and studies, post more frequently, create art more often, and keep motivated. I wish everyone a very happy, successful, and fashionable 2014!
Enjoy,

-Chloé Akari

Minimal Eclectic

Posted on Wednesday, December 25, 2013

Hello!
Happy Holidays everyone! My cousin Kyra is in town for the break so we decided to do a photo shoot in 7 degree Chicago weather. There was a random shopping cart that was tipped over that added some interesting shots. I created a slight theme of the color berry, seen in my lips and Kyra's outfit. Also a little play with my minimal outfit and Kyra's sweet detailed look. As you know my style is a little mix of both. I hope that everyone has a wonderful break and New Year! Please stay warm and healthy in this crazy cold!

Enjoy,

-Chloé Akari

My look: Kimchi Blue top-dress, HUE tights, TopShop shoes, and Deena and Ozzy bag.
Kyra's look: Ted Baker chandelier skirt, Urban Outfitter tights, Club Monaco mens button down, TopShop heels, and vintage jewelry

Mermaid Art

Posted on Tuesday, December 10, 2013

Hey guys!
I have been doing many wearable and more outfit of the day looks on my blog. Maddie and I decided to do an art based photo shoot. Maddie painted on the scalloped scales on both of us, she is an amazing artist. I wanted to give a bit of a simpler look for our outfits to showcase the art. The jewels are hanging off of us because we were buried in treasures!
Enjoy,

Thanks To Sophistication

Hey Guys,
Brooke and I had a photo shoot during our little Thanksgiving break. We shot at Brooke's beautiful home on a pretty day! Brooke is a new model and had her first shoot on the blog, definitely not her last. The lighting was prime for once, a rare sighting in Chicago! I was very appreciative for the lighting because I've missed it for a while. I tried to create a more sophisticated look for us, using a classic high necklines and appropriate hems.
Enjoy,

-Chloé Akari

My look: Maude skirt, HUE tights, American Apparel top, Phillip Lim for Target bag, and Dolce Vita heels.
Brooke's look: Fjäll sweater, Chanel boots and skirt, and vintage jewelry.
