INDULGENCE

Posted on Wednesday, August 1, 2018

Hello!
This is an editorial called Indulgence. For this project I was given: a massive costume jewelry ring, the color light green, and a podcast on color to take inspiration from. The idea was to be on the line of glamorous and gross. She is surrounded by sugary/ fattening food, saturated colors, and handfuls of gold. She is self involved and addicted to excess.
I wanted to touch on the fashion industry and consumer culture. Especially with my generation, instant gratification has become an issue. Impatience and selfishness often arises when being a consumer either online or in person. There is a sense of competition with possessions now with social media. There is a battle between art and being obnoxious. This photoshoot represents this battle with excess and beauty.

Cheers,

Hello lovelies,
This is an editorial I curated for one of my finals at school. The inspiration is from 1800's French fashion plates and modern day streetwear. All semester we focused on the 1800's. For my project I did a comparison of styles then and now. I focused on mixing materials and contrasting new with old. Hope you enjoy.

Cheers,

NYFW AW18

Posted on Thursday, March 1, 2018

Hello!
These photographs are from my NYFW AW18 experience in February. I was on the production team for the À Détacher show which was such a cool experience. The makeup for the show was magical. The colors of the eyeshadows were vibrant and looked like they has been painted on with watercolors. The AW18 collection was so chic and very much prêt-à-porter.

The biannual Libertine show is always an event I look forward to! This season did not disappoint. The collections keep getting better and better every show. While staying true to brand with sequins, bold colors, embroidery, and nail art like you have never seen, Libertine continues to be innovative and fun. While working as a lead dresser backstage it is always so fun getting to know the models and the Libertine team. There was so much positive energy and color bouncing around backstage, I felt as if I was wearing KiraKira glasses with all of the sparkling embellishments.

My last show for the week was Esteban Cortazar's AW18 show! A few days prior to the show I was put in charge of VIP dressing for the show. I loved being able to assist with styling our VIP clients. The Esteban Cortazar team is so special; they are so talented. After helping the guests find their seats, I was able to sit front row at the show. I was gushing over each piece that came down the runway. Esteban's collection was inspired with the perfect mix of elegant and cool. I really appreciated the mixture of fabrics and the strong color combinations. The Esteban Cortazar show was the perfect way to end fashion week.

Cheers!

Hello!
Happy 2018! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season. This year had many high, highs and low, lows. 2017 was a year of: adventure, love, change, independence, learning, heartbreak, friendship, and balance. It was the most memorable year I've ever had. The highlight of my year was living/studying in Paris for four months. My French has improved immensely and I feel that I really know the city. I met amazing people that I will be friends with forever. I am so thankful for all of my friends and family who were are part of my year and experiences. I wish everyone a Happy New Year.
