Eric Raisina Haute Texture

Posted on Thursday, May 16, 2013

Hey guys,
As you can see I am back from my wondrous travels! As a conclusion to my trip I would like to show you Eric Raisina. He is a fashion and textile designer who is based in Cambodia. Eric spent hours with me, showing me around his studio and private sales store. He taught me many things about the process of his fabrics and what the end result would look like. His work is truly amazing and all hand sewn in Cambodia right at his studio. He uses silk most of the time, but all of this fabrics are stunning. There are so many details in many of his pieces that are amazing, all hand sewn. I really enjoyed meeting Eric and having the chance to see his beautiful studio. A special thanks to Kipling and Clark for the introduction! Enjoy the beautiful clothes!

The Walk 2013 SAIC

Posted on Thursday, May 9, 2013

Hey guys,
Last week I went to the SAIC, The Walk Fashion Show 2013. I came as an independent blogger to blog about the event (see pictures below) and had a chance to see the amazing creations of the young talented SAIC students. I had such a great time at the show and party. I also had the chance of meeting Laura and Kate Mulleavy, the sister designers of Rodarte. They are/ were so inspirational and sweet with great advice to share. As for the fashion show, I enjoyed some of the more theatrical pieces along with the ready to wear. There were some really amazing clothes. I enjoyed the whole show but in this post I have selected some of my favorites. I wore the shirt I designed from mens pants, Elisabeth and James skirt, and my Dolce Vita block heels. Then for my mom, she wore the skirt I designed from a mens jacket, a jacket I designed from mens pants and a Calypso top, and Sam Edelman heels. I couldn't be more grateful and happy about attending this special show! I look forward to next years show!
Enjoy!
