The Dress Code Fashion Show

Posted on Thursday, October 18, 2012

Hey!
This week is Chicago Fashion Week! Fashion Focus Chicago has been fun so far! I managed to get many press passes for this weeks events. I have been very busy going to many different shows, so will be seeing many pictures and shows to come! This show was called "The Dress Code" it was all student designers from The SAIC, Columbia, and The Illinois Institute of Art. Maddie and I were fortunate to sit in the front row. I had a nice time being there and met very cool and nice people. We met 6 new designers, and an awesome new blogger friend! I got a chance to see Nicole Maret again which was lovely, she is a local designer I posted about in May. I hope you enjoy this post and check in a few days for some more of fashion week!

The Bunny: Fifi Lapin

Hey guys!

I am in great need to have a photoshoot! So hopefully I will be posting soon! Next week is Chicago Fashion Week, haha I am going to a few shows. I hopefully it will be cool and or fun, I'm excited. Why this post is all about bunnies is because I have kinda been obsessed with Fifi Lapin for quite some time... I have her book and love her little sketches I think they are too cute! Fifi is a fashionable bunny and blogger. She sketches great outfits from magazines and sometimes right off the runway. Bunnies are my favorite animal and how could I not be obsessed with a little bunny dressed in Chanel, Prada and oversized sunglasses! I love her outfits and little bunny friends a little to much. I got all of these pictures from her blog. I hope you find to love these adorable sketches as much as I do.
Come back soon there will be much more coming!

RODARTE S2013RTW

Rodarte's collection this season blew me away! I love these pieces and I hope you can lust over them as much as I have. Each one are so unique and special. Drooling over the detail!! Creating pieces like this blows my mind and makes the collection that much better for my eyes. I love how they used the rich fabrics and textures and played with silk and leather. The designs and patterns are genius. I am sorry I have not posted in a while but I have been so busy! These are my favorites from the collection. Enjoy this lovely collection!!

Vintage Dress, Young Barbie

Posted on Thursday, September 20, 2012

Hello,
As you might or might not know this is Kyra! Kyra is my cousin who does not live in Chicago. We only get to see each other every so often, a photoshoot was a must. The dress she is wearing is actually our Grandmothers (Nana), it is from Japan. One day Nana was picking out what to wear to an event and I saw the dress and I loved it right away. It is so old fashioned and perfect, the little leafs all over it is too cute. I styled Kyra with lots and lots of jewelry, which I felt made the dress a but more youthful. After looking though the pictures I think it is a little bit Barbie inspired but was not purposely done. She is wearing the vintage dress from Japan, Dolce Vita shoes, Juicy charm bracelet and many necklaces from different places.  I hope you enjoy this shoot!
